Royal Palace Pass

Start at Rosenborg Castle, then 72 hours for the Amalienborg Museum and Christiansborg Palace

The Royal Palace Pass is the Royal Danish Collection's own three-palace ticket for one adult. It works in a fixed order. The slot you pick at checkout is a 10-minute entry slot at Rosenborg Castle, not an Amalienborg time. That visit starts the clock: from then you have 72 hours to walk into the Amalienborg Museum and every Christiansborg Palace visitor site whenever they are open, with no more slots to book.

What to expect

Day one begins at Rosenborg Castle, in the King's Garden, at the 10-minute slot you booked. Show the pass at the entrance and see the royal apartments, the Long Hall and the Treasury with the Danish Crown Jewels. Your 72 hours start with that visit.

Within the 72 hours, walk into the Amalienborg Museum whenever it suits you, with no time slot: the kings' studies, the Gala Hall and the Fabergé Chamber. The guards march from Rosenborg to Amalienborg at 11:30 and change on the square at noon, so the two palaces pair naturally on the same morning.

Christiansborg Palace on Slotsholmen completes the set: the Royal Reception Rooms, the Royal Kitchen, the Ruins beneath the palace and the Royal Stables. Christiansborg can close at short notice for official events, so visit it early in your 72 hours and keep a day in reserve.

Who it's not for

If you only have time for Amalienborg, the adult ticket is simpler and cheaper. If you can't be at Rosenborg for the slot you book, the pass can't start. And if your 72 hours fall when Christiansborg is closed for official events, you may miss that part, so check its opening before you pick your Rosenborg date.
